I offer a wide range of services for established and aspiring authors.
Services and Rates:
A professional, detailed line edit.
I will go through your fiction and help you polish it, assisting in removing filler words, tightening prose, and providing a report focusing on larger elements such as Character, Plot, etc.
Rate of £45.00 per 5K words.
Please confirm preferred currency when sending sample and word count, as I will calculate the price based on this.
Payable via Paypal
For projects under 15K words, payment is requested upon delivery
For projects over 15K words, please provide 50% or £100 (whichever is the lower amount) on commission. If you are unable to do this, please contact me in the first instance as I am happy to discuss alternatives.
I am also happy to discuss payment plans.

75K words - £675
Copy Editing £40.00 per 5K words
Proofreading £35.00 per 5K words
What to Send:
In the first instance, please send an e-mail to elleturpittedits@gmail.com, including genre, overall word count and preferred currency for payment. Also ensure you send a 700 - 1,000 word sample. This will allow you to see exactly what I do, and the decision to proceed with be completely up to you.
You do not need an edit-ready manuscript if requesting a quote. As long as you have the estimated word count and a sample, you can get a quote. Please drop me an e-mail if you’d like to check availability for the near future.
Regarding Longer Works:
I am able to work on fiction of any length - I have previously worked on short stories, novellas, and novels.
If you are seeking a novella/novel edit, I am happy to do this in sections or as a full edit.

For Short Story Writers -
Short stories can be an excellent way to hone your writing skills, and I’ve worked with a number of writers who have focused purely on short stories. If your current focus is on short stories, I offer bundles for writers who want to send short fiction over regularly - this means an ongoing arrangement where you ‘bank’ words. For example, if you pay for 5k words but the story itself is 2,500, you can put the other 2,500 towards your next story, and so on. This can also work well for longer works, if you’re not looking to send the whole manuscript over as one. If you want to discuss this, please contact me via e-mail.
